A fehér tea a teacserje ki nem nyílt rügyeit tartalmazza. A neve a fehér pehelyszálakból származik, melyek a kis
rügyeken találhatók. A rügyeket kézzel szedik le és egy különleges folyamat során kíméletesen szárítják. Egy kiló
fehér teához kb. 30.000 tearügyre van szükség.
